After graduating from Shippensburg University, Bill Benner has lived and built his life and business here in Perry County.

The only time Bill has lived outside the county has been while deployed overseas to serve and support our military operations.

Community Service

An active member of the community, Bill Benner coordinated the Vacation Bible School for his Church for several years. He participated with every high school in the county with their Mock Interview programs and helped Newport create theirs. Was part of the initial group that created the Perry County Chamber of Commerce and led numerous events and programs through the Chamber. He served for two terms on the Centre Township Planning Commission.

As a veteran, Bill is very active in preserving our heritage. He volunteers with the 307th Bomb Group Association assisting WWII veterans who flew B24 Bombers in the Pacific. He also volunteers as an aircraft mechanic and aircrew member with the Collings Foundation, an organization that tours the United States flying WWII vintage aircraft.

Military Experience

Bill Benner served 31 years in the U.S. Air Force, PA Air National Guard. He was deployed over twenty times in direct support of Combat Operations. He served in various leadership positions and was regularly recognized as a top performer. He was recognized in 2009 as the 193rd Special Operations Wing First Sergeant of the Year.

He attended the U.S. Air Force Special Operations School and was a facilitator for the Air Force Sexual Assault Prevention and Reporting and Suicide Prevention Programs.

Business Experience

Bill Benner helped people find economic success and well being as a Financial Advisor and built a book of business from the ground up through a national financial firm.

He recently brought that business to Perry County and created his own Registered investment Advisory Firm.
